URBAN DECAY - Naked Basics

I'm so excited that Urban Decay has officially launched another beautiful palette, Naked 3!  Even though I absolutely adore shimmery shades, the Naked Basics has to be one of my favourite classics for me.

There are 6 different shades in Naked Basics, 5 matte and 1 fairly shimmery. I think that this palette is perfect for an everyday, neutral look. It kind of reminds me of the type of shades Lana Del Rey would use!

APPLICATION

What I love about Naked Basics the most is how creamy matte the texture of the eyeshadows are. It makes it much more easier to apply. The pigmentation of these shadows are AMAZING. Especially 'Crave' in particular. In photos and in person it can look quite black, although if you look up-close you can tell its actually a very dark, deep brown.

I tend to use Faint in my crease alot! It's a great colour combination with ANY matte neutral shade and looks absolutely gorgeous when blended with other shades. It can also be used on the brows without looking too harsh.

Foxy, W.O.S, and Naked 2 are all perfect shades to use as a base, I think they all work well with any skintone. I find that I love Walk Of Shame the most for a base colour as it really stands out.

Venus is the only shimmery shade in the whole palette. I always use it on my tear ducts, as do every other person I know who owns this palette. It's truly a great shade to use there as it doesn't fade, it's not too shimmery and gives your eyes overall a completely different look! I think it compliments every skin complexion.

PACKAGING

The packaging is perfect! It's much much smaller than the usual Naked palette's and can fit in my make-up bag just right. It also comes with a little mirror so it makes everything much easier when touching-up.

LASTING/DURATION

Urban Decay eyeshadows last a great time on the eyes when its paired with a great primer, and I'd give Naked Basics an 8/10 for how long it stays put. The reason why I'd say that is because I tend to reply often throughout the day, as well as having a bit of creasing. Other than that it's a lovely product.

NEGATIVES

The only thing I do not like about this palette is that Foxy is already included in the Naked 2 palette! I think it would've been better if they came up with a new shade.

Thanks for reading everyone, tell me what you think below and what you think of Naked 3!

Benetint and Posietint - BEST Cheek and Lip Stains

One of my favourite things about Benefit Cosmetics is the different tints they have! There's Benetint, which was the first product I ever brought from Benefit years ago, there's also Posietint and Cha-ChaTint. Although I haven't tried Cha-ChaTint, I've seen it countless times on YouTube makeup videos and it looks just as gorgeous as Bene and Posietint.

I am yet to try Cha-ChaTint but I decided to do a post and share my views on these two tints that I already have in particular because there are plenty of people who may be looking for other alternatives other than just powder blush, or just looking for something a lot more subtle.

BENETINT

As you can see above my product has practically ran out! Benetint is something I love to bring with me everywhere in my make up bag. If my face is looking slightly dull throughout the day I use this to immediately add on this beautiful, rosy radiance to my face. It doesn't appear overly rosy when applied to my skin, so my cheeks aren't left with such red cheeks or anything. I think it would suit nearly every complexion as it is gradually buildable, on the other hand I think Posietint is much more complimentary for people with a paler skin complexion.

POSIETINT

This tint is much different to the original Benetint. Its much more pink and pigmented. But again, very subtle. I notice I don't have to keep on gradually applying Posietint because of it's slightly thicker consistency than Benetint. I'm starting to really fall in love with this particular tint and it's always a favourite of mine to apply to my cheeks whilst I'm in a rush and I want to brighten my face.
However, unlike Benetint I never apply this to my lips because in my opinion I find it way too bright for me, although it would suit people with a paler skin tone perfectly.

What I realise about these tints is that they are VERY handy. Instead of me having to bring a blush compact and blush brush around, I can just carry these cute little products with me. Above I have the travel sized versions, I've had the full size version of Benetint aswell before and it's still really portable and just great to carry around.
Next I really want to get the Cha-Cha tint as it is 'mango tinted' which I really think I'd instantly fall in love with!
What do you think of these cheek and lip stains?

Beauty Myths Explained

I've heard so many stories about different beauty treatments or things we do that have a certain effect on our bodies. Through which I decided to research online and take the knowledge from some things I've experienced to determine whether these are myths or facts!

1. Chocolate and sweets cause breakouts.

Neglecting your skin by constantly having a poor diet can definitely have a big impact on your skin, but this isn't to be mistaken with just eating chocolate. Chocolate surely won't cause you any break-outs.

2. Shaving makes hair grow back thicker.

Shaving hair does not cause your hair to grow back thicker. Shaving doesn't have an effect on the thickness of your hair. Although if you're experiencing a prickly, stubbly feeling when you shave, it's just the razor cutting the hair straight across the shaft which causes the hair follicle to feel alot stiffer.

3. More gray hairs will grow back if you pluck one

You simply can't instantly grow 10 new gray hair follicles from plucking one. I decided to include this myth because I hear plenty of people talking about it all the time! If you're bothered about gray hair appearing, I'd suggest you visit your hairdresser to colour it for you.

4. Your phone can cause you to break out.

Using your phone doesn't exactly cause you to break out however it can have an effect on your skin if you don't clean off your screen regularly, as germs can gradually build up on your screen!

5. Drinking water can keep your skin from drying out

Many people have dry skin and they drink plenty of water a day. Surely drinking water will make your skin appear healthy and hydrated, but on the other hand it can't completely prevent you from your skin drying.

6. Constantly washing your face can get rid of acne.

This is a huge myth. Washing your face too frequently throughout the day can cause your skin's natural PH balance to change as you'll be stripping away your skin's natural oils. Stick to washing your face day and night, but also ensuring that you really give a deep, thorough cleanse!

7. Toothpaste can get rid of a zit.

This DEFINITELY worked with me! I do this everytime one appears on my face and it goes away the night after.
Toothpaste contain ingredients that dry out the skin, which causes the drying of the spots. However this might not work for everyone.

8. Brushing hair 100 times a day can cause it to become shiny.

Brushing hair too many times a day can actually make your hair strands fall out instead of making your hair become shinier. To make your hair shinier you could always try out a great, effective DIY mask!

9. You don't need sunscreen on cloudy/dull days

The suns UV rays are always out, even if it's a really cool temperature. Through which you always need to protect your skin no matter what.

10. Sleeping on your back can prevent wrinkles

As we grow older our skins elasticity won't be as firm and we would gradually get wrinkles anyway. however certain sleep positions can result in sleep lines which could possibly turn into deep-set wrinkles.

Thanks for reading, I hope these beauty myths have informed you on things you've always been curious about!

Sleek - Face Contour Kit (Medium)

Ever since I discovered the art of contour I can't stop buying these kind of products! As I was browsing around shops one day I came across Sleek's Contour Kit. Many people have recommended it to me before so I thought I'd give it a go.

The product comes as a palette. Left to Right is the matte sculpting powder, the highlighter then the bronzing powder. However this does vary depending on what shade you purchase.
Fair and Light come with the same in the palette, although there is actually a rosy blush, instead of the bronzer. Then Medium and Dark have a bronzer instead of the rosy blush.

I honestly would've preferred a matte blush instead of a bronzer because I don't really like too much shimmer on my face. Though I am still happy with everything so far.

Believe it or not, I only use the sculpting powder and hardly ever use the highlighter and bronzer due to what I previously said about too much shimmer. The only time I use the blusher is when I'm going out on a special occasion. Unfortunately I'm not impressed with the highlighter. Whenever I apply it to emphasize my cheekbones it either really doesn't show up or it looks quite dusty. That's why I usually always turn to liquid highlighters, such as High Beam or Moon Beam by Benefit for that beautiful dewy glow. In my opinion I believe that they work as highlighters much better for people, and this Sleek highlighter really let me down.

Other than that this is a fantastic product. It really defines my face and I can't stop using it! For £9.99 I think it's certainly worth it.
Thanks very much for reading x

You Are What You Eat - Healthy Eating and Vitamins For Glowing Skin and Hair

Beauty is not about only using products on the skin, hair and nails. It's also about taking good care of what's going on inside your body, which means taking in a lot of vitamins and minerals, therefore we have to ensure we maintain a healthy diet always! At the end of the day you are what you eat. Here are a few foods that will keep you glowing!

Blueberries

Antioxidants in blueberries are proven to prevent you from premature ageing of the skin.

Walnuts

Walnuts contain a good amount of omega 3 fatty acids, as well as being highly rich in biotin and Vitamin E which protects your hair from damaging.

Salmon

Salmon also contains omega 3 fatty acids and it tends to keep our skin moisturised, smooth and supple.

Oysters

I'm not a fan of oysters, but they are rich in Zinc. A lack of Zinc can cause hair loss! It also can lead to a dry, flaky scalp. Nuts, Beef and Eggs also contain Zinc.

Spinach

I love wide, bright and beautiful eyes! Spinach contains alot of lutein which is supposed to keep your eyes looking gorgeous and sparkly.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are also a great anti-ageing antioxidant. Not only can you use them in meals, but you can also use them as a DIY facial. I've tried it and the results are fantastic.

Beetroot

Beetroot is particularly high in Vitamin A and it is proven to clear out the skin. This also contains Vitamin E, Magnesium, Calcium and much more. All these are essential for epidermal healing of your body.

Avocado

Avocado is a great source of vitamin E. This really does improve your skin tone and texture, as well as calming down inflammation on the skin.

There are plenty more of other foods that keep your body healthy and skin looking fabulous, this list of food is just a taster of the healthy foods that can really make a difference in your appearance.

WATER WATER WATER!!

We've all heard this rule before. 6-8 glasses of water should be drank daily to ensure our body remains healthy by cleaning out our toxins. This is also very beneficial for the hair, skin and nails. Water is all I drink, I hardly ever drink soda or juice and I get many questions on how I keep my skin clear and spot-free. I just drink plenty and plenty of water every single day and eat as healthy as I possibly can. If you don't like plain water you could try flavoured ones to get into the habit, that's how I started out!

Make-Up may keep us looking gorgeous on the outside, but bear in mind we need to take care of what's going on inside our bodies too! I hope this has helped you and thanks so much for reading.

GOODBYE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, HELLO GREAT HAIR!!

'Your hair is so big and bouncy!' said a lovely customer when I was at work the other day. Ever since I received these sleep-in rollers I cannot stop using them, I have never been so obsessed!
I decided to buy these because I wasn't pleased with the old rollers I was using, they were so stiff and didn't do anything great to my hair at all. Although after searching online for a better alternative I came across these Hello Great Hair rollers. Luckily I got an amazing package that included two packets of 10 rollers (as seen in the picture above), a pink pretty hairnet with a silk band and about 20 bobby pins along with a cute big bag to carry the rollers in!

I fell in love with these velcro rollers immediately once they were installed into my hair, they felt so comfortable. Surprisingly, the hairnet wasn't a hassle to put on over my head of huge rollers at all. It is so flexible, stretchy and easy to secure. As for sleeping in these rollers, I had no problem with them what so ever. The rollers actually have a quite spongey texture and they felt fairly comfortable to sleep in! I kept my rollers in for approximately 10 hours, which was before I went to bed and overnight. When I removed these rollers my hair literally lifted 20x larger and much more bouncier. What I admired most was the beautiful waves that was formed in my hair. I have never seen my hair look so gorgeous, I was so pleased!

Before I applied the hairnet the night before I ensured I sprayed holding spray all over my hair on the rollers, and I did the same the next morning just before I took the rollers out. Ever since then I didn't even have to bother and curl my hair on that morning, my hair kept its body and wave for between 8-12 hours!

I am so happy I have brought these! This lovely package was such a bargain at only £16.

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge - Blushed Rose

Bobbi Brown has a range of cream compact blushes with such gorgeous colours! I got Blushed Rose because it instantly caught my eye. It was such a beautiful deep pink and I love those kind of colours as it really suits my complexion.

PROS

This compact is so cute and tiny! I can fit it into my pocket or in a little compartment in my handbag. What I find even better about this product is that a mirror is included aswell. So I don't have to use a separate mirror whilst I'm applying the cream blush.

The texture of this blush is really sheer and creamy, when I put it on my face it doesn't come up so harsh even though its very pigmented.

Once reason why I have fallen in love with this blush is that it really makes my skin look very radiant and healthy! It's not obvious that I'm wearing blush, it just looks completely natural, as well as glowing because of the sheer texture.

It also gives my skin a dewy finish! I'd say that Pot Rouge gives off the Victoria Secret model makeup look, it brings out the best in your face!

CONS

There aren't that much bad things I've noticed about this compact blush, however when I use this when I am out and about my fingers are left with a pink stain on them as I apply it with my fingers.

Another thing I found with this product is that it doesn't last that long at all on my face. I'd say up to 2 or 3 hours, so I always have to keep on re-applying during the day. But besides from that this cream blush is the BEST blush I've ever owned!

I will always be re-purchasing this because it really makes my face pop and it looks so beautiful and natural! You can get this for £18 at a Bobbi Brown counter or on their website.

The Body Shop: Strawberry Body Polish

I adore having a great body scrub and exfoliating my skin often because it makes my skin feeling its best! My Strawberry Body Polish from The Body Shop has to be one of my favourites when it comes to a full body exfoliator.

The scent of this smells so fruity, it leaves me smelling so good after the shower I get plenty of compliments throughout the day. The strawberry scent lasts quite a long time on me too, I'd say up to 6 hours, especially when I apply a strawberry scented body butter.
I'm also thoroughly impressed with the actual scrub, it's certainly not too harsh on my skin when I'm exfoliating and it also gradually begins to lather up which gives off such a gorgeous smell.

The best thing about this product is that it leaves my skin feel SO SOFT! It really makes my skin glow and brings the best out of my complexion.
I would really recommend this to anybody, especially if you're aiming to achieve such soft, beautiful glowing skin. This body scrub is definitley worth trying because it doesn't irritate the skin in any way unlike other body exfoliators out there. This one is gentle, yet so effective. Purchase this at any Body Shop store and tell me what you think, thank you for reading!

Sally Hansen Triple Strong - How My Nails Grew Faster, Stronger and Thicker

A year ago I decided to be more natural and save money by keeping my natural nails. I was so obsessed with acrylic nails and I had them done all the time. This obviously lead to my nails becoming severely weak and brittle. They ALWAYS broke and felt so thin. Luckily I came across 'Sally Hansen Triple Strong'. This product is made to:

-  Add flexibility
- Protects against breaking, peeling and splitting
- Strengthen and enhance the structure of the nail
- Grow longer nails
- Helps nails become harder and durable
- Mends weak and fragile nails

Everything this product is meant to do really works! I am so pleased with it. My nails are 10x harder, thicker and much more stronger. I actually can't recall the last time my nails have split.
When I purchased this, the text on packaging advised to apply this either as a top coat, a base coat or just two coats of this alone. Along with ensuring to re-apply this every 3 days. I try my best to stick to the rules, but due to me being forgetful and busy lately I only apply this as a base coat and re-apply it whenever its time to wear fresh coats of nail varnish.

Triple Strong is so great, it dries in seconds and comes on as a smooth coat on the nails! The formula also makes my nails appear a lot more thicker than usual. It also does smell quite strong but I cannot think of any negatives on the overall product at all. My nails have repaired tremendously thanks to this amazing nail strengthener and I am so happy with it! If you have weak, brittle nails or are just looking to make your nails become much more longer, thicker and stronger you really need to try this. I began to see noticeable results after about 4 weeks and I've been re-purchasing this for a year now. My nails have never been so strong.
If you are looking to concentrate on just the growth of your nails I recommend using Sally Hansen Maximum Growth to see some quick, amazing results. I will do a post on that soon.

Thank You for reading! Hope you give it a try if you're looking to improve your nails.

DIY: Brightening Exfoliant Face Mask (Step by Step With Pictures)

I am currently obsessed with DIY beauty treatments, especially facial masks! Every week I love to try something new. Though the other week, a face mask I tried out literally blew me away! I was so impressed I figured I'd do a step by step post on this.

As you can see in the above picture Adriana Lima's face is glowing beautifully! And this was exactly the thing I was aiming for. To do this face mask, you will need to use:

3tsp - Yogurt (Refines pores, natural exfoliant and soothes the skin)
1tsp - Honey (Eliminates fine lines, rejuvenates the skin, brightens dull skin and helps renew skin cells)
2 tsp - Sugar (Great exfoliant)
1 Lemon (Brightens dull skin)

STEP ONE

Get a bowl and add 3 table spoons of Yogurt. This will do great things to your skin, as well as making it feel much more softer!

Add 1 table spoon of honey!

Add 2 tablespoons of sugar. I've used brown sugar, but any type of sugar will be perfectly fine. For the lemon I only squeezed about 2/3 tablespoons of lemon juice into the mixture. Once that is done, thoroughly mix together.

Here is the final result!

Ensure that your face is free of makeup and cleansed before applying this facial mask. Remember to massage it on your face then leave it on. Keep it on for around 15 minutes then rinse. You will see the results instantly!

I loved this face mask so much because my skin was really glowing and my complexion became 10x brighter!! Please try this mask out, it really works wonders.

Thank you so much for reading, let me know what you think x

Review - Bare Minerals: Warmth All Over Face Colour

There's nothing better than having that glowy, fresh faced look; and for me Bare Minerals 'Warmth' All Over Face Colour is the best when it comes to keeping my face looking beautifully sun kissed.
The packaging is cute! A small/average sized cylinder that is so straight-forward and easy to maintain. This mineral powder is the perfect shade and its certainly not orangey.

I'd honestly say that this powder is very bronze, however it glides across the skin as fairly light, so it's easy and no hassle to gradually build up the desired shade you require. The texture of this mineral powder is so velvety and soft, I love that this product feels unbelievably lightweight on my face. I literally can't feel it against my skin once its applied. I apply these with my Bare Minerals Full Flawless Face Brush and it comes on so creamy on my face, leaving it looking naturally healthy and bronzed.

Although the durability of this bronzing powder isn't quite a benefit for me. I'm more appealed to makeup that lasts all day, keeping my face looking fresh. On the other hand, this product only keeps its radiance for only around 4 hours, then unfortunately it starts to make my face look a bit dull and eventually fade.
If I were to take this off at night it wouldn't be a problem, its so easy to remove with makeup wipes and isn't stubborn at all.
Bare Minerals 'Warmth' powder in my opinion would be more suitable for short events. I wouldn't recommend it for an everyday wear as it would fade off easily throughout the day. Other than that, I am so pleased with this outstanding product! It's so challenging to find a bronzer that isn't too orange as well as cakey!
There's so many ways I use this product. I use it as a blush or as contour or sometimes on the main parts of my face because it looks like I've been out in the sun all day! I would rate this overall 8/10. I think it could just use slight more pigmentation and for it to last much longer on my face.

Thank you so much for reading this post, I really appreciate it! Enjoy your sunday x

Benefit - Bad Gal Lash

Hello lovely readers! I thought I'd do a little review on my sample of Benefit's BAD gal lash mascara. I got this as a Christmas gift, it was included in the 'Her Name Was Glowla' make up kit. This came with a lip gloss, eyeshadow palette, mini eyeshadow brush, along with moon beam and high beam.

The wand is quite big and plush, I have naturally curly eyelashes so it was fairly easy to handle and use. I'd certainly say it did give me a decent amount of volume to my lashes, however it can be challenging to get into corners of the eyes, due to how large the brush can be.
I honestly am not a huge fan of the formula, it smudges easily and it didn't make that much of a difference to my lashes at all. I didn't see a difference in length and only an average change in the volume of my lashes. Although a benefit I found with this mascara is that it didn't clump and kept my lashes perfectly seperated.

Overall BAD Gal Lash mascara doesn't WOW me, and I wouldn't repurchase it. Although I do recommend it to anyone who loves the bare, natural look to their lashes. Thank you for reading xx

Tips For a Long Lasting Manicure

I really love getting my nails done and giving them new fresh coats of polish! However there's nothing worse than them beginning to chip after only a few days. Here are some ways that helped my manicure last much longer.

1.  Use a Base coat, Two coats of Polish and a Top coat.

I know most of you may do this already, but I know some people tend to be lazy when it comes to the base and top coats! Please remember these are the most crucial things to use to maintain your gorgeous nail colour, making it last much longer.

2.  Avoid Old, Gloopy Polish

After awhile nail varnish tends to get gloopy once you keep it for too long. Its also important to store your collection in a cool, dry place. For example I keep mine in one of my drawers. This prevents your nail polishes to become really dry as heat can cause it be very unevenly on your nails.

3.  Protect Your Nails

When washing dishes it can really damage your nails, so always remember to put gloves on!

4.  Always Moisturise

Keeping your hands and cuticles in particular helps your manicure last loner aswell! Just to keep them hydrated and look better. Sally Hansens Cuticle Oil is truly amazing. It's also encouraged my nails to grow aswell. It's by far my favourite product to use on my cuticles.

5. File Nails

Filing nails not only keeps them healthy but it also maintains them in shape, as well as preventing breakage. When filing try and remember to file it in one direction to avoid feathering of the nails. Your nails will appear so much better and last longer than usual.

6. Buff Buff Buff!

Buffing completely transforms the nails. It improves the appearance of your nails instantly. They become much more softer and shinier. I'd really recommend using this.

Thank you for reading, I hope these tips will help you keep your manicure as long as possible x

Review: MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

I really love MAC's cosmetics, especially when it comes to their range of foundations! I tend to use Studio Sculpt and Studio Fix daily for medium-full coverage.
My shade is NC45 in their liquid foundations, however I felt that this particular Studio Sculpt was quite too light for my complexion. Therefore I apply my Studio Fix foundation to even it out to my natural looking skin tone.

Studio Sculpt is much thicker compared to the Studio Fix foundations and a lot more creamy. The only problem I have with this foundation is that I really struggle to blend it all across my face evenly! I use my RealTechniques buffing brush to blend this foundation in but it can take quite a while to achieve the flawless look. Although when I wore this foundation alone without my Studio Fix, it really doesn't last as long at all. It would only stay on for a few hours, whereas along with the Studio Fix it would surely last me all day.

There are no complaints when it comes to the packaging. The tube is a great, decent size that it could certainly be portable. It's so easy, and no hassle to use.

I would recommend this to people who are looking for a light/medium coverage and who isn't looking for a product that promises flawless looking skin ALL day!
In my opinion, I find Studio Fix to be the best. It provides me amazing coverage and lasts such a long time.

Thank you for reading! Let me know what you think on these foundations xx

Advanced Formula - Solutions Midnight Beauty Cream

When I brought this product I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but this Midnight Beauty Cream really caught my eye! Advanced Formula's cream promises to help even your skin tone and make your skin appear more radiant, along with a visibly brighter complexion by rejuvenating and energising the skin.

As I applied this to my face before I went to bed after cleansing and toning, it felt nourishing and velvety against my skin. The scent of this cream was very mild but smelt divine! It's always a pleasure to use on my face. It immediately makes my skin feel much more fresh and energised.
On the next morning, I noticed a HUGE HUGE difference. My complexion really did become 10 times brighter, I was amazed.

Overall I would certainly recommend this to absolutely anyone out there who suffers from dull skin, especially in the morning. Even after a long night or lack of sleep, with this Midnight Beauty Cream it will certainly ensure that you will look well rested for the following day!
I've had this product for months now and I haven't even past halfway, it's lasted me a very long time! Though I am definitely up to re-purchasing this over and over again! To have your hands on one of these visit Marks And Spencer. I'ts only £9.50 and it's totally worth it.

Review: Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser

I've had one of the best experiences with this outstanding product, and I'm so excited to share this with you all!
When I got Neutrogena Wave it came with 14 deep clean foaming pads and an AA battery to place into the power cleanser. I've wanted to buy this product for so long but never got round to it, and now every time I use it I never regret the purchase.

On the power cleanser is an attachment head and a button to switch on the vibration. To use this product you simply add the foaming pad on to the attachment head and run under water, then turn on the power to give your skin a deep cleanse efficiently. On the back of the packaging it has alot of helpful instructions which I found very useful! The foaming pads are quite small but very effective!

Neutrogena claims that you'd receive softer skin after one use and I couldn't agree more!! The power cleanser felt so great against my skin and I could really feel it giving my skin the deep, thorough cleanse it needs! Although the foaming pads don't foam up straight away, they take a while to get foamy but it is totally worth it in the end!
I tend to keep the power cleanser on my face for roughly a few minutes, rinse off my face and then dispose the used foaming pad. There is always such a huge change within my skin once I've used this, I never get used to the fact that my face feels like a baby's skin!!

I would certainly recommend this to anyone out there, whether you have dry, normal, combination or oily skin. Neutrogena Wave gives you the deep cleanse that your skin needs and I LOVE it!

Thank you so much for reading, please comment below of any thoughts or questions x

Your Top 5 Facial Cleansing Mistakes

There are many common mistakes we make when it comes to facial care, and the things we do and put on our face can have a huge effect to the skin. Here are the top 5 mistakes a lot of people tend to do:

- Don't Exfoliate Too Much

Exfoliants are used to remove dead skin and make it appear much more smoother and brighter. Although too much of the acids and buffing agents can strip off and dry out your skin's layer. Unfortunately if this tends to carry on, your skin could eventually become weak and effect your skin's natural barrier.

- Choose The Right Cleanser

Cleansers should keep skin clean as well as keeping your skin healthy and at it's best. Therefore opt for a mild cleanser that removes dirt, oil and residue without leaving your skin feeling dry and irritated.

- Lukewarm Water

You should never use hot or very cold water when washing your face, it will only shock and irritate your skin. Instead try and use lukewarm water.

- Hands

Throughout the day our hands touch alot of things. Which means you should remember to wash your hands thoroughly before attempting to wash your face. This will try and avoid bacteria transferring onto your face.

- Be Delicate

When drying your face don't rub with your towel because your skin is really sensitive. Rubbing with towels could also lead to wrinkles. Therefore I'd think it's best to be as delicate as you can.

I really hope these tips have helped you! Please share this post and comment on your thoughts. Thank you for reading,

Max Factor Max Effect Mini Nail Varnish

L-R Ruby Tuesday,  Diva Coral

Hey guys, I hope you've been enjoying your week so far! I'd just like to share with you these gorgeous nail polishes that I brought recently. They are by far the best varnishes I've tried.

Nails make a great impact on your appearance and I wanted to bring the best out of my nails by getting a great nail varnish that particularly doesn't chip! Through which I came across Max Factors Max Effect Mini Polishes and decided to give them a try. As you can see above I brought a true ruby colour, along with a bright coral. Though these brushes may be quite small, they are certainly easy to control as the bristles have an exceptionally soft texture. I'm in love with the finish this nail lacquer creates. It gives such a glam, glossy effect to my nails and I'm a huge fan of shiny nails! Not to mention, it dries unbelievably fast.
I also realise some nail polishes can actually tend to be fairly gloopy which I really hate!! Though with this product it's a different story, I'd honestly say this is perfection in a bottle.
As for chipping, I haven't had any problems with this varnish and it lasts me for days looking totally brand new!
Out of all the polishes I've ever tried, I'll always believe that these are one of the best!

Max Factor has many other shades for their Max Effect Mini Nail Polish line, I'd definitely recommend you look into it if  you absolutely love glamorous, chip free nails!

Garnier Self Heating Face Mask

I am a huge fan of face masks and I absolutely love using them to pamper myself. Through which I came across this Garnier face mask and was intrigued by it instantly.
Garnier's self heating sauna face mask comes in two packets of white clay. This formula is aimed to cleanse out blocked pores, as well as purifying the skin.

I mostly tend to use the self heating masks as I feel those are more effective for me, so I definitely considered trying this.
Although when I applied this mask, I hardly felt it heat up at all which I was really disappointed about. I did feel the mask slightly working on my skin but not as effectively the packaging made it out to be.
I'm also used to wearing my face masks for around 10-15 minutes, as that's what most face masks require to get the most out of the product. However I was rather shocked to know that I would only have to keep this one on for roughly 3 minutes. In my opinion, I didn't feel as though that was enough time due to not feeling the mask being effective enough on my skin. Though when I did rinse this off I saw a great change in my skin.. It appeared much more brighter, and my complexion was glowing!

On the back of the packaging it mentions that this face mask is meant to make your skin be shine free ad feel purified for the next 7 days. I would certainly say I agree with that as my skin feels much more rejuvenated and fresh, but only for a couple of days. Not up to 7 as it says on the packaging.

Overall I think this mask was a great product to try and it made a difference in my skin! But I don't think I would re-purchase as I like to buy masks that really bring the best out of my skin.

How to get Full, Thick Eyebrows like Cara Delevingne

As we all know Cara Delevingne is one of the most talked about models around the world and its clear that she was blessed with such beautiful bold eyebrows, however we don't all have lovely thick shaped eyebrows that most of us desire.
Whether you have over-plucked your brows or are just simply looking to get them thicker here are a few ways I have achieved my eyebrows to become much fuller:

Castor Oil

Castor oil is known to stimulate hair growth and is used alot for hair thinning and hair loss. I've been using it 3-4 times a week on my eyebrows using a q-tip on my brow area. I also started to see a difference within the first few weeks. It's not as thick as Cara's but it's certainly noticeably fuller!

Ardell Brow and Lash Accelerator

I use this on my eyebrows and lashes every night when I can and you can see changes instantly! Especially with my eyebrows. This product has lasted me for quite a few months and it definitely helps. It's a mascara type wand so it's very easy and quick to apply. Once it's applied you can also feel your brows tingling aswell which ensures me that it's working which I love! I'll definitely consider re-purchasing again because this treatment gel has really helped alot.

Eyebrow Pencils/ Eyeshadow

Eyebrow pencils and shadows help your eyebrows look much fuller tremendously! I cannot live without my eyebrow pencil, it really adds definition to the face. I would recommend an eyebrow pencil that is two shades lighter than your hair colour to make it look as natural as possible!

I hope I helped, thank you for reading.
